If you are a momma you already know how freaking expensive kids items can be. It can be so tough to navigate all the latest and greatest stuff for your little and knowing what you should and shouldn’t be spending your hard earned dollars on. Today I am excited to share some of my favorite items and what, in my opinion, is worth splurging on.
First up, Freshly Picked Moccasins. Moccasins are all the hype in baby footwear and have been for the past few years. And honestly I don’t see this trend leaving anytime soon. Freshly Picked is the leader in the mocc race and for good reason. The quality of these is unlike any other, and we have tried others. In my opinion, these are WELL worth the price tag, and honestly I would probably even pay more. If you haven’t ever bought them before the sizing can be a little tricky. I think the most versatile size is 3. Sadie started wearing these around 8 or 9 months and can still wear them comfortably at 16 months.
I love how these shoes don’t trip Sadie up. She has several other “real” shoes that are so heavy for her and she is just so clumsy in them. Another thing I love is the variety of styles that are offered. Freshly Picked is always releasing new moccs and cute collections. Their latest is these Mary Janes that I am absolutely obsessed with. Tell me these aren’t the sweetest thing you’ve ever seen. So in case you haven’t caught on, Freshly Picked = WORTH IT. And don’t worry, boy momma’s, they have styles for your handsome little hunk as well.
Next in the lineup is specifically for girl momma’s. Matilda Jane is one of my absolute favorite brands to splurge on. We only buy a few things, because it really is an investment for pieces that aren’t realistically going to be worn for a long time, but holy sweet. This brand has captured sweet innocent little girl clothing design. And truly, so many of their pieces are super versatile. Little dresses can be worn as tunics once they are too short/small, pants as capris. The quality is exceptional and for that reason I don’t mind splurging on these items. I also know that MJ has GREAT resale value if you choose to do that. Matilda Jane has to be ordered through a Trunk Keeper so if you need one, feel free to email me and I would be happy to give you my Trunk Keepers name and number.
The last item for your tiny human that is worth the splurge in my opinion is Kickee Pants. First of all these are the softest pajamas (they also make play clothes) you will ever touch. They are made of bamboo and are completely heavenly. All the praise hands. I always buy these for new mamas and for baby shower gifts. They are a bit pricey for sure but they last such a long time and wear SO well.
Also, the footed pajamas have cuffs on the hands so you can cover your newborns hands up without having to use those tiny mittens that lets be real never stay on. And they have these on all sizes of the footed pajamas, not just newborn size, which is actually rare to find.
Now for the good stuff. Freshly Picked has been so kind as to offer to give a FREE pair of moccasins to one of my readers! You get to choose the style and color! See below for details on how to enter! Good Luck and Happy Shopping!
